Funding

The work of The Community Place would not be possible without the support of the Queensland Government Department of Communities who provide a grant for our work under the Neighbourhood Centre Funding Program.

We acknowledge and thank them for their continued support of our Community Centre.

We also acknowledge funding received through both the Queensland Government and Local Government for community projects and events which we host each year.  These projects and events enable us to engage with our local community and create opportunities for participation.

The Community Place also acknowledges the support from Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government in providing us with the space to operate our service.

We have operated from our original home in the Warilda Conference Centre complex for over 30 years and more recently from our home at Keong Park Stafford.

Our Wooloowin operations moved to the old Kalinga Bowls Club in 2018 where we continue to transition from our old Warilda home and work towards creating an open and accessible community hub including our community based kindergarten and childcare programs.  We thank the State Government for allowing us the use of our community centre at Warilda for nearly 35 years.

We thank the Brisbane City Council for providing the Community Leases at Stafford and Kalinga.
